Workshop on 'Academic Writings' held at Tamenglong College

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and Research & Publication Cell, Tamenglong College, on Saturday organised a one-day Capacity Building Workshop on "Academic Writings".

S Solomon, assistant professor, Department of Economics, and Ngamtinlun Touthang, assistant professor, Department of Political Science, served as the resource persons of the workshop which was attended by teaching staff of the college.

The main programme was divided into five technical sessions on various themes, including steps for writing research papers, ethics in research, plagiarism, literature review, methods of data collection, referencing and publication, etc.

The inaugural function of the workshop was graced by Kinthuijinang Maremmei, Principal, as chief guest, and Namsurei Thomas Kamei, IQAC Coordinator, as the keynote speaker. The workshop was moderated by NG Tuakeulung, assistant professor and HoD, Department of English. 

The workshop ended with a brief valedictory function in which certificates were distributed to the participants and David Jiangamlung Kamei, assistant coordinator IQAC, presented the rapporteur's report and proposed the vote of thanks.
