The Lungbungjang Tanpui Phwam (Women’s Forum), Jirighat, Cachar has strongly condemned the abductors of three staff of Shivalaya Construction Company Limited (SSCL) for allegedly bringing the victims to Karulong village (Rani Colony part-II) in Cachar district, Assam.
A release from the secretary of Lungbungjang Tanpui Phwam stated that unidentified miscreants suspected to be ZUF (J) cadres had abducted three staff of SSCL from Langnom and Old Kaiphundai villages on July 13, and the culprits had brought the victims to Karulong village in Assam after crossing Jiri River.
It further stated that such a reprehensible act has disrupted the peace and calm of Karulong village and caused difficulties for the villagers by creating an atmosphere of apprehension. “If this type of incident occurs again in the future, the villagers would no longer remain silent,” it added.
