Womenfolk condemn Telipati blast in Imphal East

A sit-in protest was held at the Ema Ebena Lai Khutlembi community hall in Imphal East condemning the blast and the use of abusive language at the MLA.

The womenfolk of Khurai Ahwaongei Leikai condemned the IED blast that occurred at Telipati, Imphal East last Friday night, and demanded apology from the persons who hurled abuses at Wangkhei MLA during his visit to the site.

A sit-in protest was held at the Ema Ebena Lai Khutlembi community hall in Imphal East condemning the blast and the use of abusive language at the MLA.

Speaking to the media, K Bimalata, a protestor said that use of provocative language at the MLA who came to take stock of the situation out of concern for the people of his assembly constituency is unfortunate.

Using such language towards the representative is an insult to the people of Wangkhei assembly constituency, she said, and demanded the responsible person to issue a public apology.
