A man was arrested while a large number of World is Yours (WY) tablets were seized from his possession by the Thoubal District Police on Wednesday as part of the War on Drugs 2.0.

A total of 36,500 WY tablets were seized. The arrested person and the seized tablets were handed over to the Lilong police station.

According to sources, the arrested person has been identified as one Md Nasiruddin, 39, son of late Md Islauddin from Lilong Atoukhong.
It added that based on a tip-off, a team of Thoubal commando led by additional SP (Ops) O Wangkhomba assisted by Thoubal commando OC inspector N Sadananda Singh arrested Md Nasiruddin while 36,500 tablets were seized from his hut located at Lilong Ubakthong Makha.

The arrested person and the seized tablets were handed over to the Lilong police station, and a case has been registered for further necessary actions, it added.
