A one-day interaction programme on ‘Illicit Drug Abuse and Prevention’ as a part of War on Drug 2.0 was organised by Chandel Police and 21st Assam Rifle, Chandel at Maha Union Government Higher Secondary School, Japhou, Chandel on Wednesday.
The programme was attended by former international footballer Gourmangi Singh Moirangthem, and his wife, a pilot in Air India Pushpanjali Potsangbam, and Chandel DC Mayanglangbam Rajkumar.

Speaking on the occasion, Gourmangi Singh and Pushpanjali Potsangbam recalled their hard work in order to achieve their career goals, and conducted an interaction programme with the students. Mayanglangbam Rajkumar advised the students to avoid bad habits, and excel in good ones.
Chandel police SP Hemant Pandey in his keynote address encouraged the youths and students to step out of the comfort zone and bad habits, to strive for their ultimate goals.

As part of the programme, the Chandel police SP and 21st Assam Rifle Chandel distributed sports materials to the attended schools students.
