Remembering the valour and determination of the Martyr’s who fought valiantly for India victory over Pakistan, 44 Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarters 22 Sector Assam Rifles on Thursday organised a celebration of Vijay Diwas at battalion headquarter and various outpost locations at Tamenglong and Kangpokpi districts.
At Battalion Headquarters of 44 Assam Rifles, the Martyrs were remembered by wreath laying in the morning, followed by motivating patriotic songs creating a nationalistic flavour among all.
At Gelnel outpost in Kangpokpi district, a poem recitation on the theme ‘Cultural unity of India and Security Forces of the Country’ was conducted. The students participated the event wholeheartedly, expressing their view in English poem recitation and also with the sketch and colours.
The most appealing slogan was ‘We all are a team not because we work together but because we trust, care and respect each other.’ Their progressive views about the Security Force and Nation were indeed eye opening and heart rending.
Besides, information display for the students was also organised.
