The ‘Observance Committee of the 19th The Great June Uprising Unity Day’ on Saturday appreciated the help extended by various people and organisations on making the day successful.
A release stated that the organisations, state government, various civil organisations, people who came to support and pay tributes, logistic team, blood donors, medical team are among the many who extended support and helped in making the observation successful. The organisations expressed its gratitude to both the government and private hospitals which stood by, in case of medical emergencies, it stated.
It also thanked BBTU, JNIMS and the department of Transfusion Medicine, RIMS for covering the blood donation event, it stated. The various civil organisations, political parties, people who came to donate blood are also thanked by the committee, it added.
Moreover, the committee also thanked the authorities concerned for providing whole body sanitisation machines and mobile toilets with regards to the COVID-19 pandemic, it stated. The electronic and print media, Manipur Photography Club are also thanked for covering the event, helping in reaching out to the public, it added.
