Union Home Minister Amit Shah to visit state today

Manipur Assembly Elections 2022: Manipur will go to polls in two phases on February 28 and March 5 and counting of votes will take place on March 10.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah will be on a one-day visit to Manipur on Wednesday to join the BJP's election campaign trail for the ensuing 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly election.

During his visit to the poll-bound state, the Union Home Minister scheduled to attend a public rally at Churachandpur at 2.10 pm and join a door-door-door campaign at 2.40 pm. From Churachandpur, the Union Home Minister will head to Kangpoki to attend a public rally at 4 pm and join a door-to-door campaign at Bhamon Leikai in Imphal East at 5.40 pm, according to party sources.

On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the poll-bound state and campaigned for BJP for the ensuing 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly elections at Luwangshangbam Sports Complex in Imphal amid tight security and the call for total shutdown.

It may be mentioned that the BJP is fielding its candidates in all the 60 seats of the state legislative Assembly.
