According to a press release, failure to initiate blacktopping of the road within three days by the concerned authorities will compel the residents to stage a roadblock protest the following day.

The statement highlighted the increasingly hazardous conditions posed by numerous potholes along the road, which have not only inconvenienced commuters but also transformed the area into an accident prone zone.

It stated that the residents living alongside the route have additionally expressed concerns over the excessive dust during dry spells and slippery conditions in wet weather, exacerbated by the heavy traffic of various vehicles using the route.

Emphasising its stance on refusing substandard repairs, the release urged the state government to prioritise immediate action within the stipulated time frame, to ensure that commuters are spared from the disruption of a potential roadblock protest.
