The Office of the Superintendent of Police, Traffic control police wing on Monday issued a notification about traffic diversions and alternative routes in connection with the Patriots’ day celebration slated to be observed on Tuesday.
SP, Traffic Control Police Wing Wungpam Kasar, in a notification said that the regulation/diversions are arranged in public interest and safety of the general public during the function. It It stated that there will be no diversions for vehicles of the Fire Service and Ambulance during the function hour.
The statement stated that during the morning function all vehicles coming from Singjamei side along NH-2 will be diverted towards Singjamei Bridge and Pishumthong. While, all vehicles coming from Mayang Imphal side will not be allowed to enter Keishamthong, it maintained.
It stated that all vehicles coming from GPO towards Singjamei line will be diverted towards Sanjenthong/Nityaipat.
It added that there will be restriction for movement of vehicles entering Western Gate of Kangla and BT Road during the evening function.
