The district administration, Tamenglong on Friday fixed the rate of transportation charge for transport service vehicles which are plying between Tamenglong to Imphal and Tamenglong to Jiribam.
The new rate of transportation charge comes into effect, following a joint meeting of CSOs along with members of Tamenglong Taxi Owners Association, Tamenglong Ticket Counter Association in connection with the transportation fare in Tamenglong district.
The meeting chaired by deputy commissioner L Angshim Dangshawa, ADC Tamenglong CEO Kachamthai Faiga Gangmei, Tamenglong SDO Meidinbui and representatives of the Transport department also attended the meeting.
The meeting was held at the conference hall of deputy commissioner Tamenglong.
The new rate for bus operating from Tamenglong to Imphal which is 139 km has been fixed to Rs 450, while for taxi services including MAXI Cabs, Winger, Sumo, Bolero etc, the rate has been fixed to Rs 600 per passenger.
Tamenglong to Jiribam route which is 146 km has been fixed for taxis, including MAXI Cabs, Winger, Sumo, Bolero etc, to Rs 700 per passenger.
