Training on scientific poultry farming held

The training on scientific poultry farming was held at Kalikalok Maring village under Kakching district, with an aim to uplift rural agricultural economy.

Central Agricultural University (CAU), Imphal on Friday conducted a training on scientific poultry farming at Kalikalok Maring village under Kakching district, with an aim to uplift rural agricultural economy.

Deputy director, Directorate of Extension Education, Central Agricultural University (CAU) Dr  Dipak Nath who attended the training as chief guest encouraged the farmer trainees to adopt scientific farming in order to increase their produce and uplift the economy.

He stressed on the need to maintain a fruitful long term relationship with CAU and villagers of Kalikalok, and also assured to extend all possible assistance from the side of his department.

Livestock Assistant, CAU N Keinatombi Devi who attended the training as subject expert demonstrated the various aspects of scientific poultry farming and ways to become a successful poultry farmer.

While extending gratitude to CAU for organising the training at this remote village of only 30 Maring households, Managing Trustee of Humanism Foundation Wahengbam Rorrkychand Singh said that such a training would benefit the farmers of Kalikalok.

He also appealed to the farmer participants to make use of the training and facilities being provided by CAU to support their families. As many as 25 farmers of the village participated in the training programme.
