In pursuance of generating awareness on certain crime issues in schools and colleges, Thoubal District Police on Friday started a ‘Police Reaching Out to Youths and Students’ programme at KM Blooming Higher Secondary School, Khangabok in Thoubal district.
Sessions were taken regarding awareness of Crimes against Women and Cyber Crimes, and a total of 400 girls and 500 boys were sensitized in three separate sessions.
The sessions were conducted by additional SP (Law and Order)Thoubal, Lakshay Sharma, DSP (Ops) Thoubal AK Khelen Singh and inspector RK Jeetasana Devi of Woman Police Station, Thoubal under the supervision of SP Thoubal, S Ibomcha Singh.
According to S Ibomcha, the programme is being organised as per suggestions taken as an action point in DGPs/ IGPs conference recently.
