Th Brinda to file additional affidavit before court

The High Court of Manipur has granted the plea of MPS Th Brinda, to file an additional affidavit in connection with the re-contempt case against her.

The re-contempt case was heard by a division bench comprising Justice Lanusungkum Jamir and Justice Kh Nobin on Thursday.

N Kenajit appearing for respondent no. 12 submitted that his client is presently in home quarantine in Delhi and prayed for some more time to file the affidavit. Meanwhile, respondents no. 23, 24, 25 altogether have given two weeks’ time to file their affidavits by the division bench. Personal appearances of the respondents are dispensed for the time being.

The bench also listed the matter to proceed on August 10. It is stated that framing of issues in respect to Th Brinda will be considered on the next returnable date.
