Teachers' Day 2022: Manipur Governor La Ganesan, CM Biren extend greetings

Manipur Governor La Ganesan and Chief Minister N Biren Singh on Sunday extended wishes to the teaching fraternity and the people of the state on Teachers’ Day 2022, which is celebrated to honour the contributions of the teacher.

In his message, the governor stated that Teachers’ Day is celebrated all over the country every year on the birth anniversary of S Radhakrishnan who was a scholar, statesman and a teacher as well. Highlighting the important role of teachers in shaping the future of the society, he added that the sacrifices of the teachers are silent but tremendous.

N Biren stated in his message that the progress of a society depends on the quality of the teachers. Good teachers are the role models for young students to emulate, he added.

“On this Teachers’ Day, I call upon the teaching community to reflect upon the challenges of their profession and face those challenges head on, and live up to the expectations of the society,” he mentioned.
