In order to educate the public about the electoral process for the upcoming Lok Sabha Election 2024, the Deputy Commissioner of Tamenglong Angshim Dhangsawa on Friday chaired the meeting of SVEEP (Systematic Voter’s Education and Electoral Participation) at the Conference Hall, Mini Secretariat, Tamenglong Headquarter.

Under the chairmanship of district election officer, a nine-member committee is also constituted to oversee, supervise and oversee the planning and implementation of SVEEP in the Tamenglong district during election as well as non-election period time.

The members committee are District Election Officer Tamenglong as Chairman, Election Officer as Member Secretary and Additional District Magistrate, SDO/ERO Tamenglong, SDO/ERO Tamei, SDO/AERO Tousem, SDO/AERO Houchong District Welfare Officer Tamenglong and District Information Officer as the Member of the SVEEP Committee.
SVEEP is the flagship program of the Election Commission of India for voter education and voter awareness and promoting voter’s literacy in India.
