Tamenglong got the better of Sadar Hills by 2-1 goals in the 6th Hill District Sports Meet 2021-22 organised by Hill District Sports Association Manipur(HIDSAM) and played Mini Sports Complex, Chandel.
The match proved to be an exciting one as both teams matched their wits but Tamenglong player Samson proved to be prowler as he struck the opening goal in 14 minute of play. Digging further, Tamenglong lost no time to kick home the second goal from Sinthailung in 20 minute of play to command the game.
However, Sadar Hills gave a thrust in the run and found its opening goal in the 25 minute when Lamminthag scored from a close angle.

But ill luck struck Sadar Hills as SH Joseph Haokip was sent off with a red card by referee Joysing Monsang from double caution in 21 and 25 minute for dangerous play. The remaining minute failed to provide any more goals to the teams.
Two more Sadar Hills players Nguigoulal Singsit, Mangminlun and Tamenglong player Thuijan Pou were shown yellow cards in the match.
Earlier in the day, the opening match between Chandel and Senapati ended in a goalless draw, to share a point each.
