Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign: ‘Waste to Art’ event organised in Tamenglong

The event aimed to promote awareness about waste management and recycling through artistic expression.

In a vibrant showcase of creativity and sustainability, the Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) Tamenglong, Manipur on Tuesday organised a ‘Waste to Art’ event at Haipou Jadonang Park, Tamenglong as a part of Swachhata Hi Seva campaign.

The event aimed to promote awareness about waste management and recycling through artistic expression.

Among the standout creations, Ringsobou Daimei, son of Meirijinang Daimei, Tharon Village and Guingamlung Panmei, son of Latoulung Panmei, New Canaan, Tamenglong -3 emerged as the top two winners, securing first and second positions, respectively.

As a reward for their exceptional talent, Ringsobou Daimai and Guingamlung Panmei will be honored during a ceremony on October 2, where they will receive awards from the Deputy Commissioner (DC).

The event was witnessed by ADC, Tamenglong CEO Kachamthai Faiga Gangmei who is also the Nodal Officer of the Swachhata Hi Seva campaign and PHED Executive Engineer, Tamenglong Adam Chiru.

The PHED expressed gratitude to all participants and looks forward to more such events that foster community engagement and environmental consciousness.
