Several teams of Commando Bishnupur and Nambol Police Station conducted surprise search operations at Nambol bazar area as a part of the preventive measures being taken up by the district police in view of the coming Republic Day celebrations.

Police said around 50 persons were verified during the search operations, but no person was picked up.
