Students should not be pressured while choosing their career, instead, parents or guardians should motivate students based on their capabilities and interests, MLA Kh Raghumani Singh said on Sunday.

The programme was organised by the All Uripok Apex Body (AUAB) under the sponsorship of Kh Raghumani Singh, who is the local MLA of the Uripok Assembly constituency, Imphal.

He said many parents or guardians push their wards towards careers without understanding the students’ capabilities or interests. This often results in talented students not reaching their full potential due to lack of guidance, he added.

Raghumani emphasized the need for proper counselling to help students find the right path for their careers. Parents and guardians should also motivate their wards based on their abilities, he added.
