A joint meeting of the six student's bodies on Thursday resolved to end all forms of narco-terrorism and fight with all means to stop the influx of illegal immigrants into Manipur.
Six student's bodies namely, Manipur Students Federation (MSF), Democratic Students Alliance of Manipur (DESAM), Kangleipak Students' Association (KSA), Apunba Irespakki Maheiroi Sinpanlup (AIMS) and another major student’s group jointly organised the meeting.
Assistant professor Arambam Noni told the gathering that students should understand history to enable them to fight and counter the fabricated history prepared by pseudo intellectuals.
Professor N Joykumar said, “We learn history to make sure that we do not repeat those mistakes committed in the past.” He told the students to make sure that every one of them is equipped with knowledge and wisdom to fight and protect the motherland.
Professor Bhagat also appealed to the people to understand the root of the present crisis and said that in the changing world of today where knowledge is power, students should learn how to fight and preserve the motherland.
The meeting of the joint students’ bodies also resolved to intensify the agitation for implementation of the National Registers of Citizens (NRC). Nine other resolutions which include fighting tooth and nail against all attempts to distort the territorial integrity of Manipur and taking a major role to ensure an economically self-sufficient state were taken during the meeting.
