The state cabinet meeting will be held on January 28 in Tamenglong district where Chief Minister N Biren Singh will inaugurate a water project and hand it over to the people of Tamenglong, BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra announced on Tuesday.
Sambit Patra was speaking at a one-day district level Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) meeting in Indoor Stadium Tamenglong, hosted by BJP Tamenglong district. BJP Manipur Pradesh general secretary (Org) Abhay Kumar Giri, senior BJP Manipur Pradesh member Th Yumjao Singh accompanied the national spokesman and attended the meeting.
Sambit Patra further said that the Prime Minister of India Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah have sent best wishes to the people of Tamenglong district. To balance the development between hill and valley districts of Manipur, Modi has introduced ‘Go to village’ in Manipur and a state cabinet meeting will be held on January 28, he added.
Before leaving Tamenglong, he had a meeting with the deputy commissioner Tamenglong Armstrong Pame, intellectuals, leaders, and government retired officers at the Official Bungalow of Forest IB.
The BJP spokesperson along with other BJP leaders took out a mass rally from Indoor Stadium to the official bungalow of Forest IB Tamenglong. During the rally, Sambit Patra interacted with shopkeepers, vegetable vendors and wished them.
During the one day district level Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) meeting at Indoor Stadium Tamenglong, he personally talked to all BJP leaders, and directed to issue show cause notice to all absent BJP leaders.
The BJP intending candidates for ADC Tamenglong, 53- Tamenglong ST/AC, and 54-Nungba ST/AC and BJP workers from Tamenglong district and Noney district attended the one-day district level Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) meeting.
