Srikona battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarter Inspector General Assam Rifles (East) celebrated its 21st Raising Day along with locals at New Kaiphundai and Nungba villages in Tamenglong district of Manipur on Friday.
Village chairman along with authority members, pastors of Baptist church, youth club president and village secretary joined the Assam Rifles with great fervor and enthusiasm on this occasion, stated a release. As the Battalion marked another milestone, the locals congratulated the troops for their endeavours to strengthen the bond with the people, it stated.
All guests were happy to join the event and appreciated the efforts and contribution of the Battalion towards the local populace. Also, they extended their gratitude and conveyed their commitment to cooperate with the Security forces, it added.
