Skill Hub Initiative launched at Manipur University
Manipur University is providing short-term training on ‘Basic of Food Processing’ in the job role ‘Processed Food Entrepreneur’ as per the NSQF framework.

A 'Skill Hub Initiative' at Manipur University organised by the Entrepreneurship and Skill Development Ministry was launched on Thursday at the Centre for Entrepreneurship and Skill Development, Manipur University (CESD, MU).
In a release, CESD, MU stated that the Skill Hub Initiative taken up by the Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Skill Development was organised as a part PMKVY 3.0 in collaboration with the UGC, New Delhi.

For the first batch of hands-on training for which 29 participants had registered, Manipur University is providing short-term training on ‘Basic of Food Processing’ in the job role ‘Processed Food Entrepreneur’ as per the NSQF framework, it added.
The launch was attended by Manipur University vice chancellor N Lokendra Singh as the chief guest, Manipur University registrar W Chandbabu Singh as the guest of honour, and CESD, MU director Ch lbohal Meitei as the president, it mentioned.

Speaking on the occasion, N Lokendra stated that MU shall also be having an incubation centre for the food processing with help of various agencies like NABARD and Directorate of Textiles, Commerce and Industries, government of Manipur in order to provide skill training and conducive entrepreneurial ecosystem for the youths of Manipur, it further stated.
He added that another course on foreign language on the Proficiency in Japanese Language shall also be included under this Skill Hub Initiative in the near future, it added.
