Shangshak PS organises second outreach programme, plants 500 trees at JNV Ramva
The tree plantation drive was organised under the theme ‘Our Survival Depends on Survival of Plants and Animals’.

With an aim to spread the essence of trees amid fast escalating climate change, Shangshak Police Station organised a second community outreach programme on Saturday at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Ramva village, Ukhrul.
The programme was organised under the theme ‘Our Survival Depends on Survival of Plants and Animals’ and it was led by Ukhrul DFO, Shanngam Shaliwo and Ranger officer, Chirmishan. Around 500 ornamental tree saplings were planted at JNV Ramva village.

Speaking at the tree plantation drive, Shanngam Shaliwo highlighted the importance of trees in the lives of the people and encouraged them to organise more such outreach programmes in the days to come.
Meanwhile, JNV principal, Ramva Lungshim Horam lauded the effort of the DFO, Ramva village headman, VAs and youths for the good initiative.
The tree plantation drive was participated by Ramva village headman, VAs, youths, JNV staff and Shangshak Police Station officer in-charge, H Chiphang and his team.

It may be mentioned that Shangshak Police Station had organised the first tree plantation outreach at Patkai Christian Academy (PCA) campus and its surrounding areas on July 14.
