Sewing machines distributed to underprivileged rural women of Khongsang village in Noney

The 143 Bn CRPF distributed the sewing machines to rural poor women of Khongsang village in Manipur as a part of its Civic Action Programme.

Sewing machines were distributed to underprivileged rural women of Khongsang village, Noney District in Manipur on Friday by 143 Bn CRPF as a part of its Civic Action Programme.

During the programme, Commandant of 143 Bn CRPF Lamkhokam Lhoujem expressed happiness on getting this opportunity to fulfill the long standing need of the villagers and said that the sewing machines will help in generating their income and become self-reliant, the CRPF said in a release.

Commandant Lhoujem stated that the unit will continue to serve the people of the state by carrying out such humanitarian activities and under its Civic Action programme, 143 Bn CRPF has been trying to address the needs and requirements of the locals.

The villagers of Khongsang expressed happiness and thanked 143 Bn CRPF for providing them a means to support their family economically under the Civic Action programme, the release added.

The function was also attended by Assistant Commandant of 143 Bn CRPF Pawan Yadav, women secretary of Khongsang village Melody Golmai and youth leader of Khongsang village Kennedy Kamei, added the release.
