Sensitisation programme on criminal laws

During the event, resource persons gave insights on the three new criminal laws and also discussed the need for modernising the law in tune with the new technological advancement and to do away with colonial era codes.

A one-day sensitisation programme on the three new criminal laws, namely Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) and the Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam (BSA) was organised by LMS Law College at its auditorium in Chingmeirong on Saturday.

Advocate General Manipur Lenin Singh Hijam; additional government advocate cum PP High Court of Manipur Samarjit Hawaibam; deputy advocate general, Manipur H Devendra and LMS Law College principal N Pramod were among those who attended the event.

An interaction programme was also held with the students of the law College as part of the event.
