In keeping with its stated mission to serve the general public of the state, several people of Ukhrul district availed benefits from "Meeyamgi Numit" held at DRDA hall, mini-secretariat, Ukhrul on Friday.
The Ukhrul district administration organised the 5th edition of district hill leaders’ day and meeyamgi numit with the sole aim to make the governance more citizen centric, proactive and programme implementation effective.
UDCRMS, department of agriculture, transport office, one stop center, medical, CMHA, Covid vaccination, district transport office, CA & PD Ukhrul, Peeday pachao, peedey Padao, minor irrigation, old age pension, ICDS cell, PMGSY, ZEO office Ukhrul Samagra Shiksha Ukhrul, ADC Ukhrul, PWD, treasury, district cooperative and district veterinary office were some of the major line departments among 28 departments present in the event.
During of the programme, grievances of each applicant were initially received and heard by deputy commissioner of Ukhrul, Krishna Kumar, IAS, in the presence of CEO Peter Kashungnao, MCS, ADM Chunglenmang Kipgen, and DFO Shanngam Shaliwo, IFS, Ukhrul.
After consultations, applicants were later sent to the concerned departmental heads for resolution.
In the event, the DC of Ukhrul distributed baby kits to 6 female children and their mothers under the initiative programme of Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao. The Department of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution gave out 5 kgs of rice each to 4 persons of ONORC, while the district horticulture and soil conservation distributed drip, sprinklers and equipment to 3 beneficiaries.
On the other hand, the district health society issued 12 birth and death certificates, 3 CMHT cards and 2 PMJAY. They also facilitated Covid -19 vaccinations and blood sugar tests on the spot. The district social welfare received 13 old-age and widow pension applications under MOAPS, CMST and CMWPS.
CAFPD received 3 applications for ration card, Veterinary department gave out KCC Loan to 2 beneficiaries while DIC gave out 1 E-Shram card.
The district revenue department gave out 16 certificates of unmarried, character, distance, land valuation and religion.
Out of 120 public who attended the event, 40 locals/villages of the district were registered and 69 applications/ grievances were received.
Under the district transport office, services including learners license, driving license, transfer of vehicle, road permit, payment of vehicle tax, etc were provided. While under CMHA, screening, blood pressure (BP) and diabetes (sugar level) were provided, while One stop centre provides services like legal aid and counselling, emergency response and rescue, medical assistance, facilitates lodging of FIR/NCR/DIR, psycho social counselling, temporary shelter for five nights.
The district administration Ukhrul will hold its next programme on the third Friday of December, 2022.
