'Saji gi Leibak ta' written by Chandam Khomei selected for Leitanthem Ram Singh Literary Award 2021

The Leitanthem Ram Singh Literary Award is donated by renowned Manipuri writer Naorem Gandhar from Kakching in the name of late poet Leitanthem Ram Singh (Thoubal ) and is given once in every two years.

The Manipuri Sahitya Parishad Thoubal District branch, Wangjing has announced the recipient of the prestigious  “Leitanthem Ram Singh Ningsing Sahitya Mana” ( Leitanthem Ram Singh Literary Award) on Monday.

In a release signed by its secretary Sarat Salam stated that the novel “Saji gi Leibak ta”( In the Land of Deer)  written by Chandam Khomei popularly known as Cha Khomei of Lamjao Awang leikai, Kakching District is being selected for the award for the year 2021.

The award is donated by renowned Manipuri writer Naorem Gandhar from Kakching in the name of late poet Leitanthem Ram Singh (Thoubal ) and is to be given once in every two years gap, the release added.

The award contains a cash amount of Rupees 10 Thousand, a shawl and a memento each. The award is to be presented on December 25 at the auditorium of Khorirol Sanglen Wangjing, the release stated.
