Rogi Kalyan Samiti, District Hospital Tamenglong on Tuesday held a celebration on being awarded with the Kayakalp Award 2024 at the conference hall of district hospital Duigailong Tamenglong.
Tamenglong deputy commissioner L Angshim Dangshawa, Tamenglong ADM Chunglenmang Kipgen, Tamenglong Autonomous District Council chief executive officer Kachamthai Faiga Gangmei, chief medical officer Dr G Majachunglu, medical superintendent Dr Guidiathiu Kahmei, MO Dr Kaguilan were the main guests attending the celebration.
Tamenglong deputy Commissioner L Angshim Dangshawa informed that Kayakalp Award 2024 is an award presented by the Indian Ministry of Health and Family Welfare to recognise health centers that promote cleanliness, hygiene, and infection control as an extension of the Swachh Bharat Mission in India.
L Angshim Dangshawa gave credit to every staff member of the Health department. He congratulated and urged them to continue working hard and continue improving the district hospital even after achieving the award.
He said the Kayakalp Award 2024 carried a sum of Rs 60 lakh. The award has not yet arrived, but it is a proud moment for the people of Tamenglong, he added.
After exhortation, the officials teams inspected the blood bank, newly purchased generator set, leaking roof of hospital, etc.
Tamenglong ADM Chunglenmang Kipgen, Tamenglong Autonomous District Council Chief Executive Officer Kachamthai Faiga Gangmei, Chief Medical officer Dr G Majachunglu, Medical Superintendence Dr Guidiathiu Kahmei also spoke on the occasion.
