The Rongmei Naga Student’s Organisation, Manipur (RNSOM) on Thursday stated that its newly elected team of RNSO Manipur unit is working with new vision and leadership recently elected by mandate of the Rongmei society.
The new team of RNSO Manipur is set with a mission to bring understanding, proper coordination with the state and regional organisations in the right perspectives, stated a release. It appealed to the Rongmei community in the state to promote common unity, understanding and mutual acceptance in the interest of building a peaceful and progressive Rongmei society.
It mentioned that the new team of RNSO-Manipur viewed the issues of amalgamation and merging of Rongmei inhabiting the foothills under Kangpokpi and Churachandpur district into Noney-Tamenglong districts as the long felt cry and legitimate demand initiated in the interest of the concern citizens.
The RNSO and RNSO-Manipur shall extend all out cooperation in finding pragmatic solutions and support the initiative of the concerned public and in the interest of the whole community, it stated.
“We shall make a united effort to work for peace, progress, advancement and overall development of our community. Let us shun all divisive pride, hatred, back biting, selfish interest and personal gain. We shall work together for common progress, Interest and development,” it mentioned.
RNSO was established as a mandated Rongmei students body in 2016 by the apex Rongmei Naga People Organization (RNPO) to look after the affairs of Rongmei students’ community and set a better foundation and hope for the Rongmei generation, it stated.
