Opening and pledging ceremony of Swachhata Hi Seva 2024 campaign under the theme ‘Swabhav Swachhata-Sanskaar Swachhata’, was organised on Tuesday in front of the General OPD Block at RIMS Hospital, Imphal.
The event was inaugurated by Medical Superintendent of RIMS Hospital professor N Sanjib, in presence of Nodal Officer of SAP 2024-25/Kaya Kalp, professor Y Govindaraj, stated a release.
During the ceremony, N Sanjib outlined the activities planned for the campaign, which will run until October 1, it stated. These activities include waste collection, segregation, and disposal, tree plantation, and the enforcement of a plastic ban. He urged everyone present to contribute actively in maintaining a clean and hygienic hospital environment, it mentioned.
The event was attended by the sub-dean of RIMS, the Principals of the College of Nursing and Dental College, faculty members, the Nursing Superintendent, officials, staff, students, and representatives from the Centre for Research on Environmental Development (CRED) and Manipur Security Services.
All participants pledged their dedication to promoting cleanliness and responsible waste management, it added.
