The Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (S) on Saturday distributed relief materials in the relief camps of Singhat subdivision, Churachandpur district in Manipur.
The distribution of relief items is aimed at addressing the essential needs of the underprivileged people residing in the various relief camps with a major focus on delivering the essential needs of IDPs living in scarcity at the relief camps.
The relief materials distributed by Assam Rifles to residents of Relief Camps in Singhat Sub-division, district Churachandpur, included handling out relief materials to 151 individuals, across all age categories. Food items, hygiene kits, medicine, etc. were also distributed.
As per the Assam Rifles, the exercise was their effort to address their concerns and care for the IDPs residing in the relief camps of Singngat Sub-division so as to bring about clean, hygienic, and respectable living conditions in the aftermath of the present ethnic hostilities in Manipur.
