A team of Jiribam Forest Division staff led by divisional forest officer on Thursday distributed essential items to victims of flood at different areas of Jiribam district.

According to sources, the staff of Jiribam Forest Division contributed from their own pocket and funded the donation of essential items.
As the people at different parts of Jiribam have been affected by flood, the team led by division forest officer Rajesh Darade distributed essential items to the flood affected families at Kamranga Hilghat GP, Lakhipur and Kalinagar in Jiribam district, sources said.

The event was attended by range forest officer, Range Jiribam N Biraj and staff of Jiribam Forest Division, it added.
