The Social Welfare Association (SAWA) Sangaiyumpham and the Muslim Students' Development Organization (MSDO) Sangaiyumpham along with Sangaiyumpham Zilla Parishad member Md Hibjur Rahaman on Thursday extended relief materials to the seven relief camps opened in Thoubal district.
Speaking to the media, Md Hibjur Rahaman condemned the sudden ethnic clash which displaced a large number of people. He also drew the attention of the government to bring back normalcy in the state at the earliest.
MSDO president Md Jia-ul Haque said that the relief items were donated by the people of Sangaiyumpham for the displaced persons in the relief camps.
Relief materials were given to the relief camps opened in Lamding Higher Secondary School in Lamding, Kodompokpi Sports Complex in Wangjing, Heirok Higher Secondary School, Wangjing SK Leikai Community Hall, Pioneer Club Wangjing Hodamba, Khangabok Higher Secondary School and Athokpam Upper Primary School in Thoubal district.
