Punjab National Bank opened its new branch in Kangpokpi on Friday. It was inaugurated by Kangpokpi Deputy Commissioner Kengoo Zuringla.
The inaugural function was also attended by the newly posted Superintendent of Police Kangpokpi Th Vikramjit Singh; chairman of Kangpokpi Town Committee Angam Leivon, AGM circle head PNB circle office Imphal Manish Debbarma, chief manager S Steven Aimol, branch head Vahneimawi Sitlhou and other PNB officials.
With this, the PNB now has 22 branches in Manipur.
Addressing the gathering, Kengoo Zuringla conveyed her gratitude to the Punjab National Bank for opening a new branch at Kangpokpi while adding that with the coming of the PNB branch in the district, the government's mission of financial inclusion and service to the public would be more augmented.
She continued that with the multiple benefits which can be availed from the banks, it is my utmost appeal to the people to have the habit of repaying loans sincerely so that more benefits for both the banks and the people could be created and sustained.
Punjab National Bank AGM Circle Head, Imphal Circle, Manish Debbarma expressed sincere gratitude to the Government of Manipur, District Administration Kangpokpi, district police, various civil society organizations of the district, and well-wishers for their support to the bank.
