Trainee Association of District Institution of Education and Training (DIET) Kakching on Friday demonstrated a sit-in protest at the institute campus, demanding the authorities concerned to revoke the transfer order of principal in-charge W Puinabati Devi.
Speaking at the occasion, the association said that the principal in-charge has been transferred following an order issued by SCERT, government of Manipur undersecretary MK Ayao on March 11. Mentioning that the second year external examination of Diploma in Elementary Education (D El Ed) had been scheduled to begin from March 28, the association condemned the ‘untimely’ transfer order in such a crucial time and urged the authorities concerned to revoke the order.
Since the authorities concerned had not been paying the required attention on the lack of proper faculties and lecturers in the institution for the past many years, the principal in-charge W Puinabati had been assumed as a lecturer teaching ‘Childhood and Development of Children,’ it added.
