The CorCom stated that the prime minister is not coming to bring progress for the people which every citizen of an independent nation deserves. It pointed out that the election offices opened by the candidates to lure the voters have become hotspots for uses of abusive substances. Many youths, who are the future generation, have been drowning in the ocean of intoxicants and some youths who never tried intoxicants in their life have also started using it, it stated. The candidates are supplying intoxicants knowingly or pretending to not know that it will affect the life of the youths, just for gaining vote banks, it added.

Political leaders of Manipur have arranged all facilities by using their best will to satisfy the prime minister, causing inconveniences to the people of Manipur and breaking the Covid safety protocols, it further said.
