‘Prayers for peace’ organised

MLA Kh Joykisan, who is the founder member of TAKDO, told the media that people should stop delivering hate speech which could mislead the people to provoke the ongoing communal clash.

Thangmeiband Kendra Development Organisation (TAKDO) on Sunday organised a programme to offer ‘prayer for peace in Manipur’ at Leonlee Community hall, Thingel, Imphal West on Sunday.

MLA Kh Joykisan, who is the founder member of TAKDO, told the media that people should stop delivering hate speech which could mislead the people to provoke the ongoing communal clash. To bring peace and harmony in the state, people should first prioritise on cooperating with each other by forgetting the unwanted incidents that had occurred due to miscommunications and misunderstanding, he said. 

He said Manipur is a small state though it has many several ethnic communities. Each community should prioritise on cooperating with each other and work together to bring peace and harmony, he maintained.

He asserted that without bringing peace and harmony in the state, the people of the state will continue to suffer. 

TAKDO Tribal Forum; Women’s wing, TAKDO; Bazaar community, TAKDO also attended the prayer ceremony.
