Poor families get free essential items amid lockdown in Moreh

Hoping that distribution of essential items would help weaker section cope during this covid lockdown, Moreh Battalion, 43 Assam Rifles, on Wednesday distributed relief materials to 120 households who are living Below Poverty Line (BPL) in Moreh.

The covid lockdown aid, which included rice, flour, sugar, vegetables and other essential items was distributed through community leaders at 43AR Helipad Moreh Col Sumit Sood (CO 43 AR) and community leaders from Kuki, Meitei, Muslim, Tamil and Nepali communities attended the lockdown aid distribution programme.

The 43 Assam Rifles have been at the forefront in the fight against covid-19 and have answered the calls for assistance from all sections in and around Moreh town.

The community leaders of different CVOs on behalf of Moreh public thanked the 43AR for the initiative taken up during this time of hardship.
