Police personnel cast votes through postal ballot in Bishnupur

Civil voters engaged for poll duty in the district will exercise their postal franchise on the second day of postal ballot scheduled on February 25.

Police and VDF personnel in Bishnupur district assigned for election duty cast their votes on Thursday through postal ballot at the Badminton Hall of SP Office complex in Bishnupur. Election Observers, DEO/DC, SP, ROs and Election Agents of contesting candidates from the district were present during the voting process.

It may be mentioned that civil voters engaged for poll duty in the district will exercise their postal franchise on the second day of postal ballot scheduled on February 25 at the four facilitation centres - Loyola School, Ningthoukhong Hr Sec School, PRC Hall and Mini Secretariat Block C.

Meanwhile, the third round of training for Presiding Officers and Polling Officers appointed for the conduct of the ensuing State Assembly election in the district also concluded today. During the two days training held simultaneously in four different venues, the District Coordinator and Assembly Level Coordinators for Webcasting imparted training on handling of EVMs and operating of web streaming kits in polling stations.

Later in the afternoon, a refresher training for Sector Officers of all the 6 ACs in the district was also conducted today at the Conference Hall of DC Office in Bishnupur. Discussion on poll processes, EVMs handling, Information Technology applications and Webcasting were covered in the refresher training. (Bishnupur DIO)
