Director General of Police, Manipur, P Doungel on Thursday launched the ‘Patrol Watch’ mobile application and ‘Tourist Police Bishnupur’ at a function held in Bishnupur district HQ.
The police said ‘Patrol Watch’ application is a Global Positioning System (GPS) based location tracking application which enables superintendent of police and gazetted police officers of the district to supervise real time deployment of police personnel on various duties.
Tourist police Bishnupur is also launched to provide security and police service to tourists visiting the district, particularly at Maibam Lotpa War Memorial/Peace Museum, Sendra, Keibul Lamjao National Park and INA Moirang, it stated.
Meanwhile, a Tourist Police Bishnupur Helpline Number +91 8798907141 was also launched by DGP Manipur, it mentioned.
The function was attended by ADGP (intelligence) Ashutosh Sinha; ADGP (law and order) Clay Khongsai; IGP zone II K Jayanta; DIG range III Angam Kamei; DIG range II Worgnam; DIG range IV Mangkhogin Haokip, superintendent of police Bishnupur N Herojit Meetei, and other ranked officers of the district, it added.
