The people of Kakching have strongly condemned the setting up of a bunker by 26-Sector Assam Rifles Pallel along Kakching to Pallel Road on Friday morning around 5 am.

The bunker was set up around 300 metres away from NH-102 towards Kakching in Kakching Louyai Lambi. A confrontation between the AR personnels and people of Kakching took place to remove the bunker.
A team led by AR commanding officer, Abhimainu removed the bunker but numerous AR personnels were seen stationed at NH-102 even after the bunkers were removed. Kakching people also did not leave the site till afternoon.

Schools, colleges and banks in Kakching were given a half holiday and Kakching market also remained closed for the day.
