The Patriotic Writers Forum (PAWF) will confer the ‘Lamyanba Hijam Irawat Memorial Lifetime Achievement Award’ to Rk Tarunjit and Kshetrimayum Madhabi Singha on September 26 at the Sahitya Akademi Hall, Nazarul Kalakshetra Complex, Agartala.
The award ceremony will take place during the observance of Lamyanba Hijam Irawat’s Death Anniversary, organised by PAWF Manipur in collaboration with PAWF Tripura Branch 2.
Rk Tarunjit, joint editor of the ‘Marup’ Meitei-language newspaper in Tripura, was born on January 5, 1960, as the second son of (L) Rk Kamaljit and Shija Alka Singha at Mathchoumuhini Junction, Agartala. He married Maitham Ningol Malinaga on June 27, 1997, and they have a son.
Kshetrimayum Madhabi Singha, a social and cultural activist with over 30 years of service, was born on April 15, 1965, at South Dhaleshwar in Agartala to Kshetrimayum Gokul Chand and Kshetrimayum Ongbi Anoubi Devi.
