Outreach programme on ‘financial inclusion’ held in Ukhrul

Loan schemes provided by the Central government and State Bank of India in MSME and agriculture sectors, and subsidised schemes were explained to the beneficiaries during the programme.

A one-day customer outreach programme was organised at State Bank of India (SBI) Ukhrul Branch, Ukhrul district on Wednesday.

The programme was organised under the guidance of the Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance to increase financing in small and medium enterprises and create employment.

Loan schemes provided by the Central government and State Bank of India in MSME and agriculture sectors, and subsidised schemes were explained to the beneficiaries during the programme.

Over 100 applicants under MSME were allotted in principle under MUDRA schemes. Another seven numbers of PM SVANidhi (Street Vendor Loans) were sanctioned. The customer outreach programme was part of the ‘financial inclusion’ initiated recently by SBI Ukhrul and was conducted by SBI Ukhrul branch manager, Meitram Uttam Luwang.
