Oting killing: Indian Army inquiry team to visit site

In view of the public notice issued on December 20, in reference to Indian Army’s inquiry into the incident of December 4 at Oting in Mon district, Nagaland, the Indian Army Inquiry Team will be visiting the incident site on Wednesday, stated a release issued by PIB (Defence Wing).  

The team will also be present at Tizit Police Station, Mon district between 1.30 pm to 3 pm the same day, it stated.

The Inquiry Team has also solicited from the public at large any primary information (not forwarded or not from secondary source) pertaining to the incident, it stated. Any person, having such information and desirous of deposing before the Inquiry, is requested to do so at Tizit Police Station, it further stated.

It stated that any original information, photo or video (not forwarded or not from secondary source) related to the incident may also be shared with the Inquiry team via Phone, SMS or Whatsapp Messenger at +916033924571. The information may also be shared in person to the Inquiry team at Dinjan Military Station in Assam, it mentioned.

The original documents/ audio-visual recording will be collected from the source following due legal procedure, it added.
