Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh on Sunday said that organic farming is an important part of War on Drugs launched by his government.
CM Biren was speaking as he flagged in the OP Sadbhavana 2022-23, an organic farming education tour from Sajik Tampak to Sikkim, at IGAR South, Mantripukhri, Imphal on Monday.

"Organic farming is an important part of War on Drugs as it provides a means for alternative farming," Biren tweeted on Monday.
The Manipur government led by N Biren Singh has been relentlessly conducting war on drugs campaign across the state. As a part of the campaign, several poppy fields in the hill districts of Kangpokpi, Churachandpur, Kamjong and Tengnoupal have been destroyed and several arrest have been made in drugs-related cases.
The chief minister said the participants of the organic farming education tour will help promote organic farming in the state and educate the public about its benefits.
