The Naga Students Union Chandel (NSUC) appealed to the chief minister of Manipur to arrange alternative mode of class asserting that online classes during COVID 19 pandemic is not feasible in Chandel.
In a letter addressed to the chief minister on Friday, NSUC stated that many students in the district do not have android phones and there is also poor connectivity of internet facilities.
NSUC also reminded the chief minister that there is no sign of initiative from the state government to hold the ADCs elections even after it was agreed between ATSUM and the state government on April 7, 2021 that the notification for ADC election shall be notified before May 5, 202.
NSUC also urged the chief minister to put additional enforcement and advised the existing machines to contain the COVID-19 at all levels.
The infrastructure such as the oxygen plant, required machines for testing with equipped and qualified doctors and nurses to be in place for round the clock management on the matter, the letter added.
