A one-day national seminar on ‘Mental Health Challenges and Strategic Exploration to Wellness’ in connection with World Mental Health day was held at Lilong Haoreibi College on Thursday.
The event was organised by the Research and Seminar committee on the theme ‘It’s time to prioritise mental health in the work place’.
Speaking on the occasion, college principal professor Md A Sattar Shah highlighted that the seminar had been organised as part of the collective effort to ramp up awareness on mental health in Manipur.
He exhorted all to maintain good mental health and avoid straining their minds.
He stated that the seminar was part of the several seminars and awareness campaigns organised by the college to initiate concrete actions.
The seminar included three technical sessions while a souvenir titled ‘NASMEW-2024’ was also released during the seminar.
Altogether around 65 papers were presented by research scholars and teachers from various universities and colleges during the technical session.
Dean of School of Agriculture Sciences, Manipur University professor GKN Chhetry; International faculty, The Art of Living centre, Imphal M Razaque Rahman and former deputy director, Health and Family Welfare Service Dr. O Romesh among others took part in the event.
