A one-day mega health camp, 2023 was organised at the Government Primary School, Kangmong Tongbram, Bishnupur district on Sunday.
The programme was organised by Dr Yaikhomba Taorem in association with four local clubs of the area which are LUVACL, Kangmong Tongbram; KYWC, Kangmong Maisnam; NCK Kangmong Maisnam Maning and Kangmong Langoljam.
During the health camp over 1,000 people were checked-up in different departments including medicine; psychiatry; Eye; dental; cardiac surgery; urology; orthopedics; gynaecology/infertility/IVF; paediatrics; ENT; Skin; neurosurgery; general surgery and radiology.
Speaking on the sideline of the camp, Dr Yaikhomba Taorem said in the programme all the tests are done at free of cost but eye correction spectacles and other laboratory tests are done at discounted prices.
Similar programmes have been organised at various areas of the valley area and such programmes will be organised at remote areas of hill districts where people cannot get medical facilities, he said.
